Senior Night 2002 Introduction Speech
By Carl Ernst
The thirteen seniors who are playing their last district game tonight have been a part of Martin High School continuing excellence both on and off the soccer field. This group of seniors has a lot to be proud of when they walk off the field tonight. They will leave behind them a record of excellence on the soccer field the upcoming classes will have to work hard to equal. This group of seniors has played on Varsity squads that have won over 65 games. They have over a 73% winning percentage in all the games they have played. They have shutout their opponents over 37 times and they have laid claim to the title of District Champions two of three prior years and hopeful again tonight. They will have the sole ownership of the most district wins of any MHS Boys Soccer team with a win tonight. They have been in the playoffs for all four years including once advancing all the way to the state semifinal game. And this year we hope they will make another successful run towards the Class 5A State Championship.
So to the class of 2002, we salute your accomplishments and wish you the best in whatever career path you chose. Your determination and talent has continued the tradition of excellence of Martin High Schools Boys Soccer Team.
I would now like to introduce this year's seniors and their parents;
