Coach Chris Naughton begins his 10th successful year as head coach of the Martin Warriors Men's Soccer Team. Although he was born in Rochester, New York, Coach Chris Naughton considers himself an Arlington native.


Raised in Arlington from the age of 5, Coach Naughton graduated from Arlington High in 1986. He attended Texas Wesleyan University from Fall of 1986 to the Spring of 1987, receiving one letter in Baseball. He transferred to Texas Tech and  attended from 1987 to the Spring of 1991, receiving two varsity letters in Football.

Coach Naughton began his coaching career at Boles Junior, and moved to Bowie Senior High School for two years as head soccer coach. He took a 1-17 Bowie team to the brink of playoffs in two years. In his nine years at Martin, he has led the Warriors to eight district Championships.  He led the Warriors to the 2000 State Championship, coming away with Semifinalist. He also works as the Defensive Coordinator for the Warrior Football team.
 
Coach Naughton is a strong family man, and lists family, sports, especially golf, as his hobbies. In February 1998, Coach and his wife Paige expanded their family with the birth of their son, Cal, who will be 7 in February. In October of 2001 Paige gave birth to twins Gabriel and Brett. Playing with the 3 boys has become his favorite pastime.
