Hi Coach,

Just plowing through the web & came across the site. What a great legacy that has developed over the past 25yrs. I graduated in ’86, and played for MHS in 85-86. Just before the MHS soccer dynasty began. Our coach was Mike Pringle, who was as fine a motivator as you will ever see. I still giggle when I think of all those pulsating veins in his head that would pop up when he really wanted to get a message across. I think of those days often. There is no telling how good we could have been if Coach Pringle had actually played soccer. He was one of the last ‘borrowed’ football coaches MHS used to babysit the soccer team. He did more with less personal knowledge than just about anyone you could imagine. Once we all graduated, Chris Naughton (who I played against at AHS) took the reins & the rest is history. Great legacy. Great school.

I currently still live in Arlington, with my wife of 14 yrs. Most of my time revolves around raising and coaching my two boys of 9 & 12 (picture attached). They started playing when they could walk & should be headed to Martin in about 3 yrs.

Again, what a great tradition that has developed over the years. Thank you for this opportunity & for all you and your staff do every day, to keep those guys under control and focused. This beautiful game will teach the guys far more about life, as they get on in age like the rest of us. Cheers.

Kind Regards,

Hi Coach,

I was just checking out the web page and saw that you had an alumni page and thought I would drop you an email. I played Varsity soccer the first two years MHS was opened. I played in the 1982-83 season as well as the 1983-84 season. I was a member of the first ever graduating class from MHS in 1984. I played golf and soccer at MHS during that time and enjoyed my two years at Martin. I am now living in Buda, Texas just south of Austin with my wife Carrie and our three kids. Keep up the good work with the team.

Thanks,
Steve Gray
